王の命令や運命の強制力の下で、自分自身や森の中に「火を置く」と語る場合、聖なる火を捨てることへの恐れから発せられるこの言葉は、重畳的な(比喩的な)帰属と呼ばれる。
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It teaches discernment in scripture: some statements are ‘samāropa’—spoken due to fear, compulsion, or practical necessity—so the seeker should grasp the intended dharma without taking every expression as literal metaphysics, while remaining devoted to Shiva as Pati (the Lord).
Linga-worship emphasizes right intention and steady devotion; this verse supports interpreting ritual language skillfully so that external duties do not eclipse the inner orientation to Saguna Shiva (worshipful form) and the higher aim of liberation.
Maintain steadiness in daily worship despite obstacles: keep a disciplined routine of Shiva-puja with mantra-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and cultivate inner ‘agni’ as focused awareness, rather than abandoning practice out of fear or pressure.
