शिव उवाच । नन्दीश्वरोयं पुत्रो मे सर्वेषामीश्वरेश्वरः । प्रियो गणामग्रणीस्सर्वैः क्रियतां वचनं मम
śiva uvāca | nandīśvaroyaṃ putro me sarveṣāmīśvareśvaraḥ | priyo gaṇāmagraṇīssarvaiḥ kriyatāṃ vacanaṃ mama
シヴァは言われた。「このナンディーシュヴァラは我が子であり、すべてにとって主の中の主である。彼は我が愛しき者、ガナの最上の統率者である。ゆえに汝ら皆、我が命を遂行せよ。」
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
The verse establishes Nandīśvara as Śiva’s empowered representative—showing that devotion, service, and divine authority flow from Pati (Śiva) to His trusted attendants, and that surrender to Śiva’s command is itself a path of dharma and grace.
In Śaiva practice, Nandi stands before the Śiva-liṅga as the ideal devotee and gatekeeper of Śiva’s presence. Declaring Nandi as leader of the Gaṇas reinforces Saguna Śiva’s living order—approaching the Liṅga with humility, devotion, and alignment with Śiva’s will.
It implies sevā-bhāva (service-attitude): worship Śiva with disciplined obedience—begin with honoring Nandi (and the Gaṇas), then recite the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with steady attention and reverence.
