The Account of Śiva’s Manifestation as Vaiśyanātha
नन्दीश्वर उवाच । ततस्स तस्या वचनम्प्रतिनन्द्य महेश्वरः । ताः सर्वाश्च तया सार्धं निनाय स्वम्परम्पदम्
nandīśvara uvāca | tatassa tasyā vacanampratinandya maheśvaraḥ | tāḥ sarvāśca tayā sārdhaṃ nināya svamparampadam
ナンディーシュヴァラは言った。するとマヘーシュヴァラは、彼女の言葉を慈悲もって嘉し、彼女とともに彼らすべてを、御自身の至上の住処、解脱の最高境地へと導かれた。
Nandīśvara (Nandi)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Significance: Depicts the hallmark of Śiva’s grace: He personally ‘leads’ devotees into His own supreme abode—anugraha as direct divine conveyance beyond saṃsāra.
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva as Pati (the Lord) who, moved by a devotee’s rightful resolve, bestows anugraha (grace) and personally leads souls to parampada—liberation beyond bondage.
The verse reflects Saguna Śiva’s compassionate lordship: the worshipper relates to Him as Maheśvara who responds, approves, and grants the fruit of devotion—culminating in union with His supreme state.
The implied practice is steadfast bhakti and śaraṇāgati (surrender) to Śiva—commonly expressed through japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” and regular Śiva-pūjā seeking His grace for mokṣa.
