It teaches that the sacred object of Shiva-worship should be kept complete, pure, and properly marked—because reverent maintenance expresses bhakti and supports inner purification, preparing the soul (paśu) for Shiva’s grace (pati-anugraha).
The verse emphasizes honoring Shiva’s saguna presence through correct signs and auspicious qualities—suggesting that the Linga or consecrated form is to be preserved with disciplined care, reflecting the right ritual order (vidhi) and devotion.
Maintain the worship-space and Shiva-emblem with cleanliness and completeness, and practice steady daily observance—such as regular puja with calm focus, japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and gentle, consistent discipline rather than harshness.
