एवं कृच्छ्रेण महता नीत्वा स्वविपुलं वयः । जरयाग्रस्तसवार्ङ्गी दुःखमाप दुरत्ययम्
evaṃ kṛcchreṇa mahatā nītvā svavipulaṃ vayaḥ | jarayāgrastasavārṅgī duḥkhamāpa duratyayam
かくして彼女は、甚だしい艱難のうちに長き歳月を送り、老いが全身をとらえるや、越えがたい苦しみに沈んだ――これは、世の忍耐のみでは苦を断てず、ただパティたる主シヴァへの帰依こそが衰滅の束縛を超えさせる、というシヴァ教の示唆である。
