स्वस्याप्यंशस्य जीवांशो ह्यविद्यामोहितो वशः । अन्योऽहमिति जानाति तया मुक्तो भवेच्छिवः
svasyāpyaṃśasya jīvāṃśo hyavidyāmohito vaśaḥ | anyo'hamiti jānāti tayā mukto bhavecchivaḥ
たとえ具身の魂であっても、彼の分のうちの生ける分として、無明(アヴィディヤー)の迷妄に支配され、「我は他なり(別なり)」と知る。しかれども、その分別智によって解脱し、シヴァに到達する。

It explains bondage as the soul’s ignorance-born sense of separateness (“I am other”), and liberation as the dawn of right knowledge that culminates in attaining Śiva—freedom from pasha (bondage) under Pati (Śiva).
Linga/Saguna worship purifies the mind and weakens avidyā, preparing the devotee to overcome the ‘anyo’ham’ notion. Through devotion and grace, the seeker moves from form-based worship to the realization of Śiva as the ultimate reality.
Regular japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Linga-dhyāna, along with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as Shaiva disciplines, is implied as a practical means to dissolve ignorance and cultivate liberating insight.
