त्वदीयो रावणोऽपीह दुर्ज्जयस्सर्वथाखिलैः । त्वद्दत्तवरदृप्तश्च महावीरस्त्रिलोकजित्
tvadīyo rāvaṇo'pīha durjjayassarvathākhilaiḥ | tvaddattavaradṛptaśca mahāvīrastrilokajit

Significance: Warns that boons without humility intensify bondage; encourages pilgrims/devotees to seek Śiva’s grace for inner conquest rather than worldly conquest.
It highlights how divine grace (a boon from Shiva) can empower a being immensely, yet pride (darpā/garva) turns that power into a cause of bondage; true Shaiva strength is grounded in humility and devotion to Pati (Shiva).
Rāvaṇa’s invincibility is explicitly tied to Shiva’s saguna grace as bestower of boons; Linga-worship teaches that Shiva is both the accessible giver of blessings and the inner Lord who restrains ego through dharma.
Cultivate humility while chanting the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and offering bhasma/tripundra as a reminder that all power is Shiva’s gift and should be used in dharma, not in self-exalting pride.
