Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Mantra: śivaṃ śivam
Type: stotra
Role: teaching
Offering: pushpa
It presents worship as a union of outer purity (installing and sprinkling with water) and inner absorption (closing the eyes), showing that devotion to Pati (Śiva) is perfected when ritual and contemplative focus support each other.
The actions of placing (sthāpana) and sprinkling (prokṣaṇa) indicate formal upacāra to Saguna Śiva as the Liṅga—approaching the formless Lord through a sanctified form, as taught in Shaiva worship traditions.
Mantra-recitation of Śiva’s name during abhiṣeka/prokṣaṇa, combined with inward concentration (eyes closed) and mudrā-like use of the ring-finger and thumb after mantra-consecration, is implied as the practical method.
