アインドラの勝利招請。遠方より迅速に来臨するインドラを呼び、金剛の刃（pavi/vajra）の切断力を備えさせ、敵・襲撃者を裂き滅して、祭儀と祭主（yajamāna）／ソーマを搾る者を守り、その獲得を確かなものとする。途中、スーリヤ（アーディティヤ）を、広大で侵し得ぬ王者の光として讃え、秩序と吉祥を儀礼の周囲に安定させる。讃歌（stotra）とソーマ搾りは霊験ある行為として、神威を儀礼へ招き入れ、インドラが障碍を除き、祭力を守護と富（牛馬などの報い）へと転じ、「贈り物を搾り出す」ことを成就させる。
