Instructions for the Western Search Party
विश्वे देवाश्च मरूतो वसवश्च दिवौकसः।आगम्य पश्चिमां सन्ध्यां मेरुमुत्तमपर्वतम्।।4.42.41।।आदित्यमुपतिष्ठन्ति तैश्च सूर्योऽभिपूजितः।अदृश्यस्सर्वभूतानामस्तं गच्छतिपर्वतम्।।4.42.42।।
viśve devāś ca maruto vasavaś ca divaukasaḥ |
āgamya paścimāṃ sandhyāṃ merum uttamaparvatam || 4.42.41 ||
夕べの黄昏に、ヴィシュヴェデーヴァ、マルット、ヴァスら天上の者たちは、最上の山メル（須弥山）へと集い来る。
The Visvadevas, Vasus, Maruts, and the gods reach Meru, this great king of mountains, in the evening twilight. Worshipped by them, the Sungod sets behind the mountain and becomes invisible to all beings.
