Condemnation of Ingratitude and Admonition of Sugriva
क्रुद्धं निश्श्वसमानं तं प्रदीप्तमिव तेजसा।भ्रातुर्व्यसनसन्तप्तं दृष्ट्वा दशरथात्मजम्।।4.34.2।।उत्पपात हरिश्रेष्ठो हित्वा सौवर्णमासनम्।महान्महेन्द्रस्य यथा स्वलङ्कृत इव ध्वजः।।4.34.3।।
kruddhaṃ niśśvasamānaṃ taṃ pradīptam iva tejasā |
bhrātur-vyasana-santaptaṃ dṛṣṭvā daśarathātmajam || (4.34.2)
utpapāta hariśreṣṭho hitvā sauvarṇam āsanam |
mahān mahendrasya yathā svalaṅkṛta iva dhvajaḥ || (4.34.3)
ダシャラタの子ラクシュマナが、怒りに息荒く、光輝に燃え、兄の苦難を悲しんで身を焦がしているのを見て、ヴァーナラの筆頭スグリーヴァは黄金の座から跳ね起きた。まるでインドラの大いなる飾り旗が高く掲げられるように。
'O monkey, if you are grateful to Rama you should wish to search for Sita. Indeed, you should make efforts to take it up.
Honor and obligation within alliances: when one party (Rāma) suffers due to delay, the other (Sugrīva) must respond promptly and respectfully to correction.
