ターラーは、足取りもおぼつかず、酒に霞む眼をし、腰帯の金の紐はゆるく垂れ下がっていた。己が姿を恥じつつ、身を低くかがめてラクシュマナの御前へと赴いた。
Tara, whose eyes were drowsy with drink, whose long gold string of the girdle was hanging loose appeared before Lakshmana with faltering steps and bent low, bashful of her appearance. (It suggests a state of exhaustion after sexual pleasures).
Even amid personal weakness or embarrassment, one may still choose responsible action—Tārā moves to address a crisis rather than ignore it.
Tārā is sent/comes forward to face Lakṣmaṇa and mediate, as tensions rise due to Sugrīva’s delay in fulfilling his promise to Rāma.
Courage to intervene and mediate, despite shame and physical unsteadiness.
