Sugriva’s Coronation and Angada’s Installation
nāyam udyogasamayaḥ praviśa tvaṃ purīṃ śubhām | asmin vatsyāmy ahaṃ saumya parvate saha lakṣmaṇaḥ || 4.26.15 ||
'O good-natured Sugriva! this is not a suitable time for any endeavour. Go to the auspicious capital city of Kishkinda and I will reside on the mountain with Lakshmana.
Dharma is disciplined patience: knowing when not to act is part of righteous strategy, especially when conditions (season, terrain) make action harmful or futile.
Rāma permits Sugrīva to return to Kiṣkindhā while Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa remain on the mountain through the rains, postponing major operations.
Restraint and strategic patience—enduring delay without abandoning the goal.
