वैशम्पायन उवाच
Victory is framed as dharmic when it serves rightful restoration and protection of allies—recovering Virāṭa’s property after defeating aggressors, rather than treating war as a pretext for personal gain.
After defeating the Kuru forces in battle, Arjuna gathers and brings back the large amount of wealth belonging to King Virāṭa, setting the stage for the return toward the capital.
