Chapter 55
तस्मिन् विद्धे महेष्वासे कर्णे सर्वास्त्रकोविदे | हताश्वसूते विरथे ततोडनीकमभज्यत
tasmin viddhe maheṣvāse karṇe sarvāstrakovide | hatāśvasūte virathe tato 'nīkam abhajyata ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。あらゆる武器に通じた大弓手カルナが射られ、さらに馬と御者が討たれて戦車を失うと、たちまち軍陣は崩れた。名高き武器の達人が傷つき、その支えが断たれたのを見て、兵は統制を失い、潰走が全軍に広がった。
