नकुलश्चापि सप्तैव शतानि प्राहिणोच्छरै: । शतानि त्रीणि शूराणां सहदेव: प्रतापवान्
nakulaś cāpi saptaiva śatāni prāhiṇoc charaiḥ | śatāni trīṇi śūrāṇāṃ sahadevaḥ pratāpavān ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。ナクラもまた矢を放ち、七百の戦士を討ち伏せた。さらに勇猛なるサハデーヴァは、勇士三百を打ち倒した。ここには、戦場におけるパーンダヴァ兄弟の規律ある武威—クシャトリヤの義務の要請のもと、目的に従って力を振るう姿—が鮮やかに示されている。
वैशम्पायन उवाच

In the course of the battle account, the narrator reports the battlefield success of the Pāṇḍava brothers: Nakula fells or routs seven hundred with arrows, and the mighty Sahadeva fells three hundred heroic fighters.
