Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas
अथैनमाक्षिप्य बलाद् गृहमध्ये वृकोदर: । धूनयामास वेगेन वायुश्नण्ड इव द्रुमम्
athainam ākṣipya balād gṛhamadhye vṛkodaraḥ | dhūnayāmāsa vegena vāyuśṇāṇḍa iva drumam ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。するとヴリコーダラ（ビーマ）は彼をつかみ、広間の中で力任せに投げ回し、疾風のごとく激しく揺さぶった――猛き突風が木を打ち、ぐるぐると翻弄するように。この場面は、キーچカの権力濫用に対する正義が迅速に執行され、ドラウパディーの名誉が守られたことを示す。そこにあるのは長引く残虐ではなく、断乎たる力である。
