आहरिष्यामि दारूणां निचयान्‌ महतो5पि च,इतना ही नहीं, मैं रसोईके लिये लकड़ियोंके बड़े-से-बड़े गट्टोंकी भी उठा लाऊँगा, जिस महान्‌ कर्मको देखकर राजा विराट मुझे अवश्य रसोइयेके कामपर नियुक्त कर लेंगे। भारत! मैं वहाँ ऐसे-ऐसे अद्भुत कार्य करता रहूँगा, जो साधारण मनुष्योंकी शक्तिके बाहर है

āhariṣyāmi dārūṇāṃ nicayān mahato 'pi ca

Translation

ビー マセーナは、王家の台所のために薪を大きな山のように—最大の束でさえ—運び入れると宣言した。常人の力を超える苛烈な労働を成し遂げることで、自らの剛力を疑いようなく示し、ヴィラータ王に台所勤めを命じさせようというのである。そこにある倫理の響きは、戦略としての自制である。身の有用さは示しつつ、正体は明かさず、隠遁の誓いを守り抜くために。
