Agastya–Lopāmudrā: Marriage, Austerity, and Conditions for Conjugal Union (लोमशकथितम्)
ततसस््तीर्थेषु पुण्येषु गोमत्या: पाण्डवा नृप । कृताभिषेका: प्रददुर्गाश्च॒ वित्त च भारत,भरतनन्दन! नरेश्वर! तदनन्तर गोमतीके पुण्य तीर्थोमें स्नान करके पाण्डवोंने वहाँ गोदान और धनदान किया
tatas tīrtheṣu puṇyeṣu gomatyaḥ pāṇḍavā nṛpa | kṛtābhiṣekāḥ pradadur gāś ca vittaṃ ca bhārata ||
そののち、王よ、パーンダヴァたちはゴーマティー河の聖なる渡し場にて沐浴し、定められた灌頂の浄めを行った。かくしてその地で、バーラタよ、牛と財宝とを施し与えたのである。
वैशग्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores dharma through tīrtha-sevā and dāna: after ritual purification at holy places, one should practice generosity (especially go-dāna and vitta-dāna), sustaining righteousness even during adversity.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that the Pāṇḍavas reach the sacred tīrthas on the river Gomatī, bathe and complete the customary ablutions, and then donate cows and wealth at that place.
