तस्यातियशस: पुण्यां विशालां बदरीमनु | आश्रम: ख्यायते पुण्यस्त्रिषु लोकेषु विश्रुत:,भरतश्रेष्ठ! भूत, भविष्य और वर्तमान जिनका स्वरूप है, जो सर्वशक्तिमान्‌, सर्वव्यापी, सनातन एवं पुरुषोत्तम नारायण हैं उन अत्यन्त यशस्वी श्रीहरिकी पुण्यमयी विशालापुरी बदरीवनके निकट है। वह नर-नारायणका आश्रम कहा गया है, वह पुण्यप्रद बदरिका श्रम तीनों लोकोंमें विख्यात है

tasyātiyaśasaḥ puṇyāṃ viśālāṃ badarīmanu | āśramaḥ khyāyate puṇyas triṣu lokeṣu viśrutaḥ bharataśreṣṭha |

おお、バーラタ族のうち最もすぐれた者よ。至高の名声をもつその主に属する、広大で聖なるバダリー(Badarī)の近くに、三界に名高い清浄なる庵(アーシュラマ)がある。そこはナラとナーラーヤナ(Nara–Nārāyaṇa)のアーシュラマと呼ばれ、その聖性と罪を浄める力によって知られている。
