इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत वनपववके अन्तर्गत तीर्थयात्रापर्वमें धौम्यतीर्थयात्राविषयक सत्तासीवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate vanaparvaṇi antargate tīrthayātrāparvaṇi dhaumyatīrthayātrāviṣayakaḥ saptāśītitamo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ

Translation

かくして『聖なるマハーバーラタ』において、ヴァナ・パルヴァ（Vana Parva）中のティールタ・ヤートラー・パルヴァ（Tīrtha-yātrā Parva）に収められた、ドハウミヤ（Dhaumya）の聖地巡礼—ティールタ（tīrtha）すなわち聖なる渡し場—を語る第八十七章は終わりを告げる。この結語は物語の倫理的枠組みを示す。聖なる旅と霊地の想起は、追放の苦難のただ中にあっても、行いを浄め、ダルマ（dharma）を強める修行として説かれるのである。
