शीततोयो बहुजल: पुण्यस्तात शिव: शुभ: | हृद: परमदुष्प्रापो मानुषैरकृतात्मभि:,तात! गोकर्णतीर्थमें शीतल जल भरा रहता है। उसकी जलराशि अनन्त है। वह पवित्र, कल्याणमय और शुभ है। जिनका अन्त:करण शुद्ध नहीं है, ऐसे मनुष्योंके लिये गोकर्णतीर्थ अत्यन्त दुर्लभ है
śītatoyo bahujalaḥ puṇyas tāta śivaḥ śubhaḥ | hṛdaḥ paramaduṣprāpo mānuṣair akṛtātmabhiḥ, tāta!
ダウミヤは言った。「愛し子よ。この聖なる湖は水冷ややかで、しかも水量は豊かに満ちている。清浄にして吉祥、福徳をもたらす。だが内なる自己が鍛えられず、穢れた者にとっては、このゴーカルナのティールタはきわめて到達しがたい。」
