युधिष्ठिरस्य अर्जुनप्रेषण-युक्तिवर्णनम् | Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
यमुनाप्रभवं गत्वा समुपस्पृश्य यामुनम् अश्वमेधफलं लब्ध्वा स्वर्गलोके महीयते,यमुनाप्रभव नामक तीर्थमें जाकर यमुनाजलमें स्नान करके अश्वमेधयज्ञका फल पाकर मनुष्य स्वर्गलोकमें प्रतिष्ठित होता है
yamunāprabhavaṁ gatvā samupaspṛśya yāmunam | aśvamedhaphalaṁ labdhvā svargaloke mahīyate ||
グーラスティヤは言った。「ヤムナー・プラバヴァ(Yamunāprabhava)と呼ばれる聖なる渡しへ赴き、ヤムナーの水に則って沐浴する者は、アシュヴァメーダ(Aśvamedha)祭の功徳を得て、天界において高き位をもって讃えられる。」
घुलस्त्य उवाच
The verse teaches that sincere pilgrimage and ritual bathing at a recognized tīrtha can confer great spiritual merit—comparable to major Vedic sacrifices—leading to honor and elevated posthumous destiny.
