Agni is described as the ‘mouth of the gods’ because offerings in sacrifice reach the deities through fire; the passage reinforces reverence for Vedic ritual order and the dharmic value of pilgrimage to sanctified places where divine presence is affirmed.
The speaker instructs the hero/king to proceed next to the sacred site Prabhāsa, explaining its greatness by noting that Agni—identified with the gods’ receiving mouth and attended by Vāyu as charioteer—abides there continually.
