Chapter 82
sāyaṃ prātaḥ smared yas tu puṣkarāṇi kṛtāñjaliḥ
Regular, reverent remembrance of a sacred tīrtha—performed at auspicious times like dawn and dusk—functions as a dharmic discipline, cultivating devotion and accruing spiritual merit even without elaborate ritual.
The speaker (Ghūlastya) begins a statement describing the benefit for a person who, with folded hands, remembers the Puṣkara holy places at evening and morning—introducing a teaching on tīrtha-related practice and its फल (result), which continues in subsequent verses.
