True royal splendor is aligned with dharma and is strengthened by righteous companionship—here, the king’s brilliance is portrayed as arising in the presence of devoted brothers, suggesting that ethical leadership flourishes through unity and shared duty rather than isolated dominance.
Vaiśaṃpāyana describes Yudhiṣṭhira as standing among his brothers and appearing exceptionally radiant, compared to Indra surrounded by the gods—an elevating portrait that frames the Pāṇḍavas’ cohesion and Yudhiṣṭhira’s stature.
