स तत्र कुण्डिने रम्ये वसमानो महीपतिः: । न च किंचित् तदापश्यत् प्रेक्षमाणो मुहुर्मुहुः । स तु राज्ञा समागम्य विदर्भपतिना तदा
sa tatra kuṇḍine ramye vasamāno mahīpatiḥ | na ca kiñcit tadāpaśyat prekṣamāṇo muhur muhuḥ || sa tu rājñā samāgamya vidarbhapatinā tadā ||
王は麗しきクンディナの都に滞在し、幾度となく目を凝らしたが、その時は何ひとつ見いだせなかった。やがてヴィダルバの王と会見すると、しかるべき次第に従って事を進めた。この一節は、不安に駆られた探索の気配と、正当な権威との時宜を得た邂逅によって訪れる転機を伝えている。
