Damayantī’s Crisis Plan and Vārṣṇeya’s Departure

Educational Q&A

Even at moments of intense emotion—such as reunion after suffering—one should remain grounded in dharma through humility and reverence. Taking mental refuge in the gods signifies inner alignment with truth and ethical restraint, not merely outward ritual.

After finding each other, Damayantī respectfully greets Nala with folded hands and gentle words. Both feel great joy, and upon seeing deities like Agni present before them, they inwardly seek the gods’ protection and blessing.
