प्रीत्या च ते5हं दास्यामि यदस्त्रमनिवारितम्‌ । त्वं हि शक्तो मदीयं तदस्त्रं धारयितुं क्षणात्‌

prītyā ca te 'haṁ dāsyāmi yad astram anivāritam | tvaṁ hi śakto madīyaṁ tad astraṁ dhārayituṁ kṣaṇāt ||

汝を愛するがゆえに、我はその抗しがたき武器を授けよう。汝は我がその武器を—まこと、瞬く間に—受けとめ、携え、振るうことができる。これはただの力の授与ではなく、信託である。いったん放たれれば止め得ぬものを受けるのは、鍛錬と相応しさを証した者のみだ。
