न हि गाण्डीवमुक्तानां शराणां गार्ध्रवाससाम् । स्पर्शमाशीविषाभानां मर्त्य: कश्नन संसहेत्,“मनुष्योंमें कोई ऐसा नहीं है, जो गाण्डीव धनुषसे छूटे हुए विषैले सर्पोके समान भयंकर गृध्रपंखयुक्त बाणोंका स्पर्श सह सके
na hi gāṇḍīvamuktānāṃ śarāṇāṃ gārdhravāsasām | sparśam āśīviṣābhānāṃ martyaḥ kaścana saṃsahet ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「ガーンディーヴァより放たれるあの矢の触れを、いかなる人の身も耐えられぬ。禿鷲の羽を矢羽にし、毒蛇のごとく恐ろしいのだから。」
