एकैकशश्लोघबलानिमान् पुरुषसत्तमान् | को<न्य: प्रतिसमासेत कालान्तकयमादृते
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca |
ekaikaśaḥ śloka-balān imān puruṣa-sattamān |
ko 'nyaḥ prati-samāseta kālāntaka-yamād ṛte ||
dharmaputro mahābāhur vilalāpa suvistaram ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「この人中の至宝たちは、ひとりひとりが測り知れぬ力を備えていた。時の定めにより終末を司るヤマを除いて、誰が彼らに対抗し得ようか。」兄弟たちの倒れ伏すのを見て、強大な腕をもつダルマプトラ・ユディシュティラは深い悲しみに沈み、久しく嘆いた。
