Iti prakāraḥ Śrīmahābhārate Vanaparvake antargate Kuṇḍalāharaṇaparvaṇi kavaca-kuṇḍala-dāna-viṣayakaḥ trīśata-daśamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ.

Educational Q&A

The colophon points to the ethical gravity of dāna—giving—especially when it involves personal loss. It frames the episode as one where generosity and duty are tested, and where a gift can reshape destiny and the moral landscape of the story.

This is a concluding statement (colophon) by the narrator, indicating that the chapter dealing with the donation of the armor and earrings—within the Kuṇḍalāharaṇa section of the Vana Parva—has ended, and the text is moving on to the next unit.
