यदा च कर्णों राजेन्द्र भानुमन्तं दिवाकरम्‌ | स्तौति मध्यन्दिने प्राप्ते प्राजजलि: सलिले स्थित:

Transliteration

yadā ca karṇo rājendra bhānumantaṃ divākaram | stauti madhyandine prāpte prāñjaliḥ salile sthitaḥ ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「そしてカルナは、王よ、正午の刻が来ると、水の中に立ち、合掌して恭しく、光輝く太陽—昼を成す者—を讃えて讃歌を唱える。これは彼の日々の礼拝であり、修練であり、光と秩序の源を敬う行いである。」
