यद्येवैष्यति सायाह्वे यदि प्रातरथो निशि । यद्यर्थरात्रे भगवान्‌ न मे कोपं करिष्यति,ये पूजनीय ब्राह्मण यदि सायंकाल आवें, प्रातःकाल पधारें अथवा रात या आधीरातमें भी दर्शन दें, ये कभी भी मेरे मनमें क्रोध उत्पन्न नहीं कर सकेंगे--मैं हर समय इनकी समुचित सेवाके लिये प्रस्तुत रहूँगी

Transliteration

yadyaivaiṣyati sāyāhve yadi prātaratho niśi | yadyartharātre bhagavān na me kopaṃ kariṣyati ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「夕べに来ようと、朝に来ようと、あるいは夜に来ようと――たとえ尊き御方が真夜中に到来されても、私の心に怒りは起こらぬ。いかなる時も、敬うべきバラモンにふさわしい奉仕をなす備えを怠らない。」
