यथादृष्टं यथातत्त्वं यथोक्तमुभयोर्निशि । तत् सर्वमानुपूर्व्यण शशंसास्मै वृषस्तदा,तदनन्तर जपके अनन््तमें कर्णने भगवान् सूर्यसे स्वप्नका वृत्तान्त निवेदन किया। उसने जो कुछ देखा था तथा रातमें उन दोनोंमें जैसी बातें हुई थीं, उन सबको कर्णने क्रमश: उनसे ठीक-ठीक कह सुनाया
yathādṛṣṭaṃ yathātattvaṃ yathoktam ubhayor niśi | tat sarvam ānupūrveṇa śaśaṃsāsmai vṛṣas tadā ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。そこでヴリシャ(カルナ)は、夜のあいだ二人の間で交わされた言葉を、見たとおりに、真実のままに、順序正しく余すところなく彼に語り、すべてを忠実に報告した。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights ethical speech: one should report events as actually seen and as they truly are, without distortion, and in proper order—an ideal of truthful testimony (satya) aligned with dharma.
Karna (called Vṛṣa) recounts to another person the full sequence of what he witnessed and what was spoken between two individuals during the night, presenting an accurate, orderly report.
