dvādaśe samatikrānte varṣe prāpte trayodaśe | pāṇḍūnāṁ hitakṛc chakraḥ karṇaṁ bhikṣitum udyataḥ ||
パーンダヴァたちの森での流浪十二年がすべて満ち、十三年目が訪れたとき、彼らの益を願うシャクラ(インドラ)は、カルナに天授の鎧と耳輪を乞うため、身支度を整えた。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
