गौतम उवाच वेदा: साड़्ा मयाधीतास्तपो मे संचितं महत् | कौमारब्रह्मचर्य च गुरवो3ग्निश्व तोषिता:
gautama uvāca | vedāḥ sāṅgā mayādhītās tapo me sañcitaṃ mahat | kaumāra-brahmacaryaṃ ca guravo 'gniś ca toṣitāḥ ||
ガウタマは言った。「私はヴェーダを、その付随諸学とともに学び尽くし、大いなる苦行の功徳を積んだ。さらに若き日より梵行（ブラフマチャリヤ）を守り、師たちと聖なる火をしかるべく満足させてきた。」
