Defects of Anger and the Praise of Forbearance
अनन्या हि नरव्याप्र नित्यदा धर्ममेव ते । बुद्धिः सततमन्वेति च्छायेव पुरुषं निजा,नरश्रेष्ठ) जैसे अपनी छाया सदा मनुष्यके पीछे चलती है, उसी प्रकार आपकी बुद्धि सदा अनन्यभावसे धर्मका ही अनुसरण करती है
ananyā hi naravyāghra nityadā dharmam eva te | buddhiḥ satatam anveti chāyeva puruṣaṃ nijā ||
ユディシュティラは言った。「おお、人中の虎よ。汝の心は決して二つに割れず、常にただダルマのみを追う。汝の識別の智は、己が影が人を離れぬように、絶えず汝に寄り添っている。」
युधिछिर उवाच
True excellence is shown by unwavering commitment to dharma; a rightly formed buddhi naturally and constantly follows righteousness, as inseparably as a shadow follows its owner.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses a revered ‘best of men’ and commends him for steadfast moral clarity, emphasizing that his intellect consistently aligns with dharma.
