Sītā–Rāvaṇa Dialogue in the Aśoka Grove
प्रेक्षमाणा बहुविधान् वनोद्देशान् समन्ततः । यथर्तुकालरम्याश्व वनराजी: सुपुष्पिता:,वे चारों ओर घूम-घूमकर नाना प्रकारके वन्य प्रदेशों तथा ऋतुकालके अनुसार भलीभाँति खिले हुए फूलोंसे सुशोभित रमणीय वनश्रेणियोंकी शोभा देखते थे
prekṣamāṇā bahuvidhān vanoddeśān samantataḥ | yathartukāla-ramyāś ca vanarājīḥ supuṣpitāḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。彼らが四方へと歩み巡ると、周囲にはさまざまな森の地が広がっていた――季節によりいっそう麗しく、花々が豊かに咲き誇って森の連なりを飾る。その放浪の途上、彼らは荒野の美を目に焼きつけたのである。
