रामस्य पम्पातीरगमनम्, सुग्रीवसख्यं, वालिवधः, सीतारक्षणवृत्तान्तश्च

सहदेवो देवनद्यामपश्यन् मुनिसत्तमान् | तीर्थेष्वितस्ततस्तस्या विचचार गवेषयन्,सहदेवने जब देवनदीमें उन श्रेष्ठ मुनियोंको नहीं देखा, तब वे वहाँके तीर्थोंमें इधर-उधर खोजते हुए विचरने लगे
sahadevo devanadyām apaśyan munisattamān | tīrtheṣv itas tatastasyā vicacāra gaveṣayan ||
ヴァイシャムパーヤナは語った。「サハデーヴァは、デーヴァナディーと呼ばれる川辺にその最上の聖仙たちの姿を見いだせなかったので、彼はその川のティールタ（聖なる渡し場）をここかしこ巡り、敬虔に、そして怠りなく捜し歩いた。」
