रावण–मारीचसंवादः तथा मृगप्रलोभनपूर्वकं सीताहरणोपक्रमः

न वर्तयन्त्याहुतिभिस्ते नाप्यमृतभोजना: । तथा दिव्यशरीरास्ते न च विग्रहमूर्तय:,वे देवताओंकी तरह आहुतियोंसे जीविका नहीं चलाते। उन्हें अमृत पीनेकी आवश्यकता नहीं होती। उनके शरीर दिव्य ज्योतिर्मय हैं। उनकी कोई विशेष आकृति नहीं होती
na vartayanty āhutibhis te nāpy amṛtabhojanāḥ | tathā divyaśarīrās te na ca vigrahamūrtayaḥ ||
神なる使者は語った。「彼らは神々のように供物（供献）によって生を支えるのではなく、また甘露（アムリタ）を飲み食いする必要もない。彼らの身は天上の光明の性を帯び、一定の、捉えうる形に閉じ込められてはいない。」
