इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत व्रीहिद्रीणिकपर्वमें दानकी दुष्करताका प्रतिपादनविषय दो सौ उनसठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārata-vanaparvaṇi antargata-vrīhidhṛṇikaparvaṇi dānasya duṣkaratā-pratipādana-viṣaye dviśata-ūnasaṣṭitamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ
かくして『聖マハーバーラタ』林の巻（Vana Parva）におけるヴリーヒドリーニカ（Vrīhidhṛṇika）小段の第二百五十九章は終わる。ここでは真の布施（dāna）の困難さと稀有さが説き明かされ、寛施とは軽々に行う所作ではなく、厳しい倫理の修行であることが強調される。
