Rāmopākhyāna—Rāma–Sītā Origins and the Opening of Rāvaṇa’s Genealogy
लाजैश्वन्दनचूर्णैश्व विकीर्य च जनास्तत: । ऊ्चुर्दिष्ट्या नृपाविध्न: समाप्तो<यं क्रतुस्तव,तत्पश्चात् सब लोग लावा और चन्दनचूर्ण बिखेरकर कहने लगे--“महाराज! आपका यह यज्ञ बिना किसी विधघ्न-बाधाके पूर्ण हो गया, यह बड़े सौभाग्यकी बात है”
lājaiś candanacūrṇaiś ca vikīrya ca janās tataḥ | ūcur diṣṭyā nṛpāvidhnaḥ samāpto 'yaṃ kratus tava ||
そののち人々は炒り穀と白檀の粉を撒き散らし、こう叫んだ。「幸いなるかな、王よ。汝の祭祀は何の障りもなく成就した。」この場面は、儀礼が整然と吉祥のうちに終えられた後に広がる共同の歓喜を示し、成就がただ人の力のみならず、好運と正しい作法の保持によってもたらされると見なされていることを語る。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights auspicious completion (samāpti) of a rite as a dharmic ideal: success is celebrated publicly and attributed to good fortune (diṣṭyā) and the absence of impediments (avidhna), implying proper conduct, order, and ritual correctness.
After the sacrifice concludes, the gathered people scatter parched grain and sandalwood powder as celebratory, auspicious gestures and proclaim to the king that his yajña has finished successfully without any hindrance.
