Vaiśampāyana uvāca |
Tatas te sahitāḥ sarve Duryodhanam upāgaman |
Abruvanś ca mahārāja yad ūcuḥ Kauravaṃ prati ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。そこで彼らは皆、連れ立ってドゥルヨーダナのもとへ赴いた。大王よ、彼らはガンダルヴァが王に伝えるべしと言った言葉を、そのままクル族の王に奏上した。この場面は、王権の危機において使信が集団で、しかも儀礼的に伝達され、やがて展開する争いの中で責任と帰結を形づくることを示している。
