इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि घोषयात्रापर्वणि दुर्योधनप्रस्थाने एकोनचत्वारिंशदधिकद्विशततमो<5 ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ाभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत घोषयात्रापर्वमें दुर्योधनप्रस्थानविषयक दो सौ उनतालीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「かくして『聖マハーバーラタ』「森の巻(ヴァナ・パルヴァ)」のうち、『ゴーシャ・ヤートラー(牛群遠征)』の段において、ドゥリヨーダナ出立を述べる章は終わる。これが第239章である。」この結びの奥書は、出来事を叙事詩全体の道徳的枠組みに据える。すなわち、ドゥリヨーダナの権勢誇示とパーンダヴァへの挑発の意図は、森の物語の一環として記され、そこでは驕りと敵意がアダルマを深め、争いを早めるものとして繰り返し示される。
