Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes devotional praise (stuti) through sacred names: the divine is described as immeasurable, yet approachable through reverent invocation, and such praise is presented as a worthy act endorsed by gods and seers.

Mārkaṇḍeya announces that he will recite a hymn praising Guha (Skanda/Kārttikeya), characterized as six-faced and spear-bearing, and he urges the Kuru hero to listen carefully to the forthcoming names and praises.
