अरजे वाससी रक्ते वसान: पावकात्मज: । भाति दीप्तवपु: श्रीमान्‌ रक्ताभ्राभ्यामिवांशुमान्‌,अग्निनन्दन स्कन्द लाल रंगके दो स्वच्छ वस्त्र धारण किये कान्तिमान्‌ एवं तेजस्वी शरीरसे ऐसी शोभा पा रहे थे, मानो दो लाल बादलोंके साथ भगवान्‌ अंशुमाली (सूर्य) सुशोभित हो रहे हों

Transliteration

araje vāsasī rakte vasānaḥ pāvakātmajaḥ | bhāti dīptavapuḥ śrīmān raktābhrābhyām ivāṃśumān ||

Translation

マールカンデーヤは語った。赤く染めた汚れなき衣を二枚まとい、火神の子スカンダは、吉祥にして光輝く御身をもって燦然と輝いた。それは、二つの紅雲を飾りとする太陽（アṃシュマン）のごとく、光が隠れるどころかいよいよ増すかのようであった。
