Adhyāya 227: Duryodhana’s Deliberation and the Ghoṣa-yātrā Pretext
Dvaita-vana
सर्वासां या तु मातृणां नारी क्रोधसमुद्धवा । धात्री स्वपुत्रवत् स्कन्दं शूलहस्ताभ्यरक्षत,उस समय सम्पूर्ण मातृकाओंके क्रोधसे जो एक नारीमूर्ति प्रकट हुई थी, वह हाथमें त्रिशूल ले धायकी भाँति अपने पुत्रके समान प्रिय स्कन्दकी सब ओरसे रक्षा करने लगी
sarvāsāṁ yā tu mātṝṇāṁ nārī krodhasamudbhavā | dhātrī svaputravat skandaṁ śūlahastābhyarakṣata ||
マールカンデーヤは語った。「母神たちすべての憤怒から、ただ一つの女神の姿が現れた。三叉戟を手に、彼女は四方よりスカンダを守り、乳母が我が子同然に愛する幼子を護るがごとくであった。」
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
Even intense emotions like wrath can be aligned with dharma when directed toward protection rather than destruction; power becomes ethical when it serves guardianship and care.
A female manifestation born from the collective anger of the Mother-goddesses appears with a trident and stands guard around Skanda, protecting him as tenderly and vigilantly as a nurse would protect her own child.
