वध्यमानं बल दृष्टवा बहुशस्तै: पुरंदर: । स सैन्यनायकार्थाय चिन्तामाप भृशं तदा,जब इन्द्रने देखा कि दानव बार-बार देवताओंकी सेनाका वध कर रहे हैं, तब उन्हें एक सुयोग्य सेनापतिकी आवश्यकता हुई। इसके लिये वे बहुत चिन्तित हुए

Transliteration

vadhyamānaṃ balaṃ dṛṣṭvā bahuśastaiḥ purandaraḥ | sa sainyanāyakārthāya cintām āpa bhṛśaṃ tadā ||

Translation

多くの武器によって自軍が幾度も討ち倒されるのを見て、プランダラ（インドラ）は深く心を乱した。そのとき彼は激しく思案し、軍を率いるに足る有能な総大将の必要を痛感した。
