Skanda–Mātṛgaṇa-janma: Kumārakāḥ, Kanyāgaṇāḥ, and the Vīrāṣṭaka (स्कन्द-मातृगण-सम्भवः)

एतत्‌ ते सर्वमाख्यातं यथा मम पुराभवत्‌,विप्रवर! पूर्वजन्ममें मेरे ऊपर जो कुछ बीता था, वह सब मैंने आपसे कह सुनाया। अब इस जीवनके पश्चात्‌ मुझे स्वर्गलोकमें जाना है

etat te sarvam ākhyātaṃ yathā mama purābhavat | vipravara! pūrvajanmani me mayi upari yat kiṃcid bītam, tat sarvaṃ mayā te kathitaṃ śrāvitaṃ | adhunā asya jīvanasya paścāt mama svargalokaṃ gantavyam |

「婆羅門の最勝者よ、私は過去に我が身に起こったことを、そのまま余すところなく語った。前生において私が受けたすべて—降りかかったすべて—を告げたのだ。いま、この命が尽きたのち、私は天界へ赴く定めにある。」
